The “core business” of CPA is defending and representing the riders

As specified in its bylaws, the CPA works to defend the interests of professional riders and to improve their working conditions

One of the CPA's key activities is ensuring that pro cyclists are represented within UCI and its Committees, in the Cycling Federations, and in other governing bodies which are actively involved in this field.

The main interlocutors of the CPA include the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale, the International Cycling Union), the AIGCP (Association Internationale des Groupes Cyclistes Professionnels) and the AIOCC (Association Internationale des Organisateurs de Courses Cyclistes).
